About Department

The Marketing and Entrepreneurship program at the IUK will provides students with a solid foundation and high-quality practices necessary to succeed in advertising, event management, marketing research, public relations, entrepreneurship, and more. Our students will discover the science and art of marketing strategy, tools, and techniques in marketing and Entrepreneurship fields. In addition, the program ensures that the graduates possess extensive knowledge and skills in the marketing discipline and provides them with the required knowledge and skills that align with international standards in marketing. In addition, it prepares the graduates to be ethical in business and responsible to their society and profession.


This program focuses on various topics in the marketing of goods and services. Topics include how to conduct market research, how to understand buyer behavior, how to formulate marketing strategies, how to sell, how to manage selling operations, how to use databases to manage customer relationships, how to manage marketing communications programs, and how to conduct and manage digital marketing programs. A marketing major is appropriate for students who plan careers in sales, sales management, digital marketing, retailing, or marketing staff functions such as marketing communications, advertising, market research, and general marketing management.

The mission of the Marketing program is to provide our students with a unique learning opportunity that develops their knowledge in the field and upgrade their skills to function with excellence in new trends and knowledge in marketing roles and entrepreneurship initiatives.

B.BA. Marketing

  • Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

The primary program educational objective of the Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing is to provide the regional and international industry with proficient and well-rounded individuals who will demonstrate they are:

  • Knowledgeable and skillful
  • Entrepreneurial
  • Innovative and creative thinkers
  • Effective collaborators
  • Responsible citizens

This will ensure that in a period of five to ten years, the University graduates with the breadth of their robust and applied education, plus industry experience, will be middle management decision-makers. They will consistently be able to contribute analytical input into their organization’s strategic process.

Program Educational Objectives are normally defined as what a Graduate from the program will be able to contribute to the workplace after five to seven years of employment.  Our graduates will be able to:

  1. Develop the graduates' skills in effectively formulating and implementing marketing strategies in different business domains.
  2. Make use of comprehensive knowledge and competence in the specific occupation of digital marketing, and in general business administration.
  3. Choose membership of one or more Marketing Professional Associations and conform with its requirements for professional development.
  4. Function in common business activities such as finance, management, leadership, strategy, marketing and digital systems.
  5. Make use of personal and cognitive skills to be effective communicators, team workers, entrepreneurs, and leaders.
  6. Demonstrate ethics in business and responsibility to their society and profession. 
  • Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)

Upon successful completion of the B.BA in Marketing program, graduates will be prepared to:

  1. Apply emerging marketing concepts and techniques in business environments.
  2. Utilize digital marketing tactics including search engine optimization, social media, videos, email, blogging, websites, influencers etc.  to develop the organizations brand, market reach and resulting revenues.
  3. Use business principles to develop effective budgets, business plans, make decisions, and evaluate performance.
  4. Apply marketing analytical knowledge and skills to determine major trends in consumerism or within specific markets.
  5. Apply extensive occupational knowledge relating to specific commercial areas to contribute to the development of strategic and marketing plans.
  6. Assess ethical principles within the marketing domain.
  • Graduation Requirements: B.BA. Marketing

Students must successfully complete 126 credits of courses to obtain the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.BA.) in Marketing. These requirements are explained in the previous sections and summarized as follows:
