Vice President Message - Academic Affairs

I am pleased to welcome you to the Office of the Academic Affairs at the International University of Kuwait (IUK). As the Vice President for Academic Affairs, my role is to provide strategic vision, leadership and support for the Academic Affairs sector of the university. The sector includes the Colleges of Arts, Business Administration, Engineering and University Foundation Program; in addition to the Office of Research and Development, Institutional Effectiveness, and Office of International Relationship. I work closely with the deans of colleges, leadership of the different academic affairs offices and other sectors of IUK to ensure high-quality and continuous improvement of the academic programs and guiding the university toward its achieving its mission.

The Office of Academic Affairs works, with other sectors, towards achieving IUK’s mission by promoting excellence and innovation in curriculum design, teaching and learning, scholarly work, and student engagement. All our academic programs in the different colleges are developed based on a scientific framework (Academic Program Development-APD) that supports Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Competency-Based Education (CBE), to ensure that highest quality standards. In addition, our curricula are developed following strict guidelines based on the APD framework.

IUK’s faculty and staff, from different disciplines and backgrounds, are committed to providing our students with the best learning experience and a high-quality education. In addition to their knowledge and scholarship, our faculty bring to IUK an extensive experience in their field of practice and industrial experience to provide students with outstanding learning experience and opportunities.
